Life [John 11:25]

John 11-25

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;  -John 11:25 NIV

Hello All! This verse seems sort of confusing if you look at the last part. “The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” Life and death are opposites, right? That depends. Are you talking about spiritual or physical life? When you start thinking about it this way, it makes sense. Your spiritual life started when you accepted Jesus, if you have. If you haven’t, it is recommended that you do so. Anyways, this explains the term born again as well. Being born is the start of your physical life. Being born again is the start of your spiritual life. So it all makes sense, right? You prayed and now you’re in heaven when you die. You may have prayed, but did you accept Jesus? Becoming a Christian and accepting Jesus involves striving daily to be like Him. I don’t always. It’s really hard. God is perfect and holy, God can make us holy, but even though we were made in His image, we can’t be perfect. So we can’t be like Him completely, but it should still try our best to be as close as we can.
