We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.
– 2 Corinthians 4:8
Hello All! I really like this verse because it just comes straight out and tells you that you are having hardships. We all are. After this, however, it says that God is helping us. Whether you realize it or not, He is. The problem is that some of us don’t want to accept His help. We may not think we need it, or know we need it, but act like we don’t want it. Some of us may just refuse to believe He even wants to help us. I mean, it’s kind of a lot to ask. Do you think that the huge, powerful being that created and controls the universe would want to take the time to help you? If you don’t think He would, it doesn’t matter, because He does want to help us. He’s always listening for us to ask Him for help. The thing is, this is misinterpreted by a lot of people; they think that since He is always listening, He will help them with what they want instantly. This is helped by today’s mindset, where everything is supposed to be as quick as possible. This makes it easy to wonder:
“If he hears me right when I say something, why doesn’t He just go ahead and fix it already?”
Contrary to what you may think, He does help instantly. It’s just that He may not help in the way you want. It may be that what you want is not what you need, but remember, He always supplies you with what you need to carry out His plan for your life. Just remember, His plan is the best plan.
